How To Be A Creature With Arm Extension Workshop
Thank you for having an interest in my creature acting with arm extensions workshop. Below I have broken down what the session will consist of, and how to join the movement!
Class Details:
Ice Breakers & Warm-Up.
Creature movement without arm extensions.
Introduction to using the arm extensions.
How to walk with the arm extensions.
How to run with the arm extensions.
Transitioning from one movement to another with arm extensions.
Various additional movements with arm extensions.
Create your own creature locomotion with the arm extensions.
Addition Notes:
The workshop is a full-day workshop and will take place in an indoor location within Northwest/West London, starting from 9/10am and finishing at 5/6pm (8-9 hour day). There will be two 10 minute breaks, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, and a lunch break for 1hr. Sandwiches and bottles of water will be provided but you can either bring your own lunch or go out to eat.
Hand sanitizer and gloves will also be provided!
The session will be recorded on a 4k camera. You will receive your monologue scene and some of the locomotion/movement you performed, which you will receive no later than 2 weeks after the session.
Some of these clips may be used for promotional material, and/or for a documentary I am making, therefore, a release form will need to be signed if you do not mind appearing in any of the material.
Everyone will have to sign a disclosure form stating they are taking the class at their own risk. The arm extensions may look fun but if not used properly, it can result in serious injuries.
I have had these arm extensions built with suspensions so that it minimises the impact on your shoulders.
(If you are over 6foot, please state in responding to this email)
There will only be 10 spaces (ten pairs of arm extensions) available per class as I want to be able to have enough awareness of everyone’s progress throughout the session.
Please be aware that this is not a motion capture workshop. The skills gain from this session can be used for motion capture, especially the section on locomotion which is used for motion capture in video games, but the workshop itself is focused on creature movement and character development.
Fee:
The fee for attending the workshop is £250. To secure a space, a deposit of £50 is to be made with the remaining balance of £200 being paid 2weeks before the day of the workshop. Failure to do so will result in you losing your place. The deposit is non-refundable due to limited spaces. If you have made full payment and can not attend the session due to work or medical reasons, your space will be transferred to the next class. A full refund is only permitted if the tutor cancels the session.
All fees are paid via bank transfer for residents in the UK. Individuals who live outside of the UK can pay via PayPal.
